About Me

I am an experienced long and short distance road runner, avid trail explorer, provincial Olympic distance triathlete, provincial swimmer, bikini fitness bodybuilding participant, CrossFit competitor and obstacle course race enthusiast.

As a result of unmanaged childhood anxiety, a series of abusive relationships and the loss of my parents, I suffered from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) for almost 20 years. This resulted in a cycle of starving myself, abuse of laxatives, appetite suppressants, obsessive exercising and 48 hour binges as well as chronic bulimia. In 2016, I had had enough of sabotaging me, my future and my body – I took the tough decision to rehabilitate myself and spent 6 months in an intensive out-patient programme. It blew my world apart but at the same time, helped me rebuild a life I had only ever dreamed about. I decided to pursue my passion for running, fitness and nutrition coaching and furthered my education through NAASFP and the ISSA.

After completing a 3 year degree in marketing and other executive level leadership courses, I worked in tertiary education institutions as a Vice Principal, Programme Manager and Project Director. In 2016 I started Sole Buddies, and started coaching runners part-time. A year later in 2017, I took the plunge, left the corporate world and joined Kelfit Lifestyle as a full-time diet and fitness coach. I have not regretted my decision for 1 minute – finally I am doing what sets my soul on fire!

  • NAASFP Certified Marathon Coach

  • ISSA Strength and Conditioning Specialist
  • MEC certified First Aider
  • CrossFit Level 1 Coach (current – to complete 2019)
